Seasonal Truck Driver

Summary

The successful candidate will be someone who takes pride in safe, efficient transportation and represents Black Tie with professionalism on every delivery. This role requires reliability, strong communication, and a commitment to delivering components accurately and on time while maintaining a positive customer experience.

Purpose of Position

This position is responsible for safely transporting trusses, wall panels, and building components to customer jobsites. The Seasonal Truck Driver ensures loads are properly secured, delivered on schedule, and handled with care while supporting production and yard operations as needed.

Essential Functions

• Safely operate company trucks to deliver trusses, wall panels, and materials
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document findings
• Secure loads according to company and DOT safety standards
• Communicate with dispatch, production, and jobsite supervisors
• Assist with loading and unloading materials when required
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork
• Represent Black Tie professionally at all customer locations
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Strong understanding of safe driving practices
• Ability to operate trucks, trailers, and load-securement equipment
• Good communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to read delivery tickets, maps, and basic jobsite instructions
• Strong problem-solving skills when navigating jobsite conditions
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Experience and Education Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required unless you specify)
• Clean driving record
• Experience operating trucks or heavy equipment preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must pass background check and non-DOT drug test
