Logistics Manager

Logistics Manager
Pay Range: $65,000–$85,000 annually (based on experience)

The successful candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing and construction environment and takes pride in reliability, organization, and execution. Success in this role requires proactive problem-solving, strong communication, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. This position requires both leadership and hands-on involvement.

Purpose of Position
The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing deliveries of Black Tie Components products while maintaining fleet readiness, DOT compliance, and efficient routing. This role ensures materials arrive on time, safely, and in a manner that supports production schedules and customer expectations.

Essential Functions

  • Plan and execute daily and weekly delivery schedules
  • Operate company trucks as required (CDL driving is part of the role)
  • Coordinate with production, sales, and customers regarding delivery timelines
  • Ensure DOT compliance, inspections, and fleet maintenance
  • Optimize routes to minimize fuel costs, downtime, and wear on equipment
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and records
  • Troubleshoot delivery issues and provide timely resolutions
  • Maintain an organized and efficient logistics operation

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of logistics, transportation, and scheduling
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and customers
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to anticipate issues and resolve them before impacting customers

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Valid CDL (Class A preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of logistics, trucking, or construction-related experience
  • Must pass background check and DOT drug test

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Ability to climb in and out of trucks and trailers
